On Thursday, February 28, 2013, low-cost carrier, JetBlue Airlines, will begin service from Charleston to the Northeast corridor. The airline’s arrival should bring an additional 175,000 travelers annually to Charleston. International passengers will have easier access to the Holy City through Boston and JFK. These two airports offer direct links to Charleston for international passengers wanting to see the No. 1 tourist destination in the world in 2012, as was voted by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler magazine.
