After a cold and wet start to 2015, and as we enter the busy Spring home buying season, buyers are finally coming out 'in force'! Inventory in the Mount Pleasant/Charleston region is at a 10-year low, and prices have appreciated at an average of 8% year over year.
The median sales price for a single family home in Mount Pleasant in February was $427,000. When this is combined with a small 3-4 month supply of homes in the immediate area, well priced properties tend to sell rapidly and it is not uncommon to have multiple offers.
This is the PRIME TIME to list your home for sale. The Charleston market has had tremendous exposure over the last few years, and the Mount Pleasant community has benefited from this national and international press.
Where else can you enjoy a moderate (and sometimes even balmy) average temperature with gentle ocean breezes throughout the year for near half the cost of a similar home in the northeast? It’s a small wonder that ‘state to state’ migration is flocking into our beautiful State of South Carolina.
